ThoroughCare has added a brand new feature for Customer Admins to create custom permission sets for their users. These permission sets will allow the ability to give users access to additional functionality throughout ThoroughCare.

Navigating to the "Permission Sets" Page:

Begin by finding the "Permission Sets" menu item listed underneath "Management".

Creating a Permission Set:

You can create and manage custom permissions sets from this page. To begin, select "Create New Permission Set" from the top right of this page.

A new pop-up will appear in the center of your screen where you may now begin to create a custom permission set. From here you can name this permission set as well as select any combination of the options available. Each of these selected options will add access to this function for any user assigned with this permission set.

In the screenshot below, you will see that we have created an example permission set named "Practice Manager". Any user assigned this permission set would have access to:

  • View the audits page

  • Delete Patients

  • Mass log time to patients from the worklist

  • Create and edit users for their practices

Adding a Permission Set to a User:

Permission sets are able to be added to users from the "Users" page which is located below the "Management" menu item.

You can add permissions to any user by first selecting the "Edit" button in the far right column.

These permissions are able to be selected from the bottom of this edit user pop-up which will be displayed in the center of your screen.

Note: Only one permission set may be added to a user at any given time.

Note: Make sure to click the "Update User" button once the permission set is chosen, if you do not click "Update User" the user permissions will not be saved to that user's account.
