ThoroughCare has introduced the ability to push patient vitals obtained via RPM to Veradigm. This ability is a practice option that must be turned on by a member of ThoroughCare support. If your practice wishes to enable this option, please reach out to support for assistance.
Once the practice option has been enabled, the patient's RPM vitals will begin populating within the EHR. Please note that only data recorded by patient devices will be pushed to the EHR, and manual entries will not be available in the EHR. Additionally, the vitals that ThoroughCare currently supports sending are temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, peak flow, blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure, height, weight, waist circumference, and BMI.
For example, if you have a patient in ThoroughCare who has a registered blood pressure monitor and they take their blood pressure, you will see the reading in ThoroughCare as usual.
After the reading is received in ThoroughCare, the data will be pushed to Veradigm. Log into Veradigm and navigate to the patient who recorded the vital. After landing on their chart, select the "Vitals" tile on the left-hand panel to expand their vitals. You should see the same reading on the patient chart.
NOTE: If you are on the patient chart while the vitals information is sent from ThoroughCare, the data will not immediately appear in Veradigm because the chart is considered locked. Additionally, a user must be actively logged into ThoroughCare in order to immediately get readings from ThoroughCare to Veradigm. Otherwise, readings will be queued and sent to Veradigm as soon as a user logs into ThoroughCare.
