How to Change a Forgotten Password (without logging in):

From the Log In Screen (or if you are logged in, log out to access this screen), click the "Forgot your Password?" button located underneath the username and password fields.

From here, enter the email address associated with your ThoroughCare account and click "Send me reset password Instructions". The password instructions will be sent to the email you have given.

NOTE: If you do not have an email associated with your account, please contact your customer admin

In the Reset password instructions email, click on the "Change my password" link. 

A new tab will open prompting you to change your password. Here you will be asked to enter your new password (8 characters minimum) along with the confirmation of your new password. When finished, click "Change my password".

Now that your password is changed, ThoroughCare will prompt you to sign in with your new password.

Updating Password in User Settings:

To change a password within ThoroughCare, click the user's name shown in the upper right hand corner of every ThoroughCare screen.

Next, click the "Settings" menu option to navigate to the user's personal settings.

Once on the settings page notice that there are three different fields to fill out in order to change the target user's password:

  • Create New Password

  • Verify New Password

  • Current Password

When the new password is added and verified click the "Save" button.

If the change was not completed for any reason the user will be notified in the upper right hand corner of their screen with an error message letting them know what went wrong with the password change.

If the Password change was successful, ThoroughCare will send the user a confirmation message letting them know the change was made.
