Bulk Care Plan Export via SFTP

Exporting multiple care plans and sharing them across the organization can pose a challenge. ThoroughCare has implemented the ability to export care plans via Secure File Transfer Protocol, or SFTP. To implement this functionality, please reach out to ThoroughCare support to receive an SFTP URL, username, and password. Once the ThoroughCare support team has configured your practice to enable SFTP export, the following steps will be available.

Selecting Care Plans to Export

Users can select care plans to export in a variety of ways. In this example, we will review exporting Care Plans from the CCM Worklist. Care Plans can also be exported to SFTP at an individual patient level.

To begin, log into ThoroughCare and expand the Programs section of the hamburger menu. Locate the CCM Worklist and select it.

After landing on the CCM worklist, apply any filters as necessary and select the patients whose care plans you wish to export.

After selecting your patients, the "Bulk Actions" dropdown will be enabled. Select it and locate the "Care Plan Report" option. This will open the Care Plan Report modal, from which you can select which sections of the care plan to include or exclude. You will also notice a new button at the bottom of the modal titled "Upload to SFTP". After making your selections within the modal, select this button.

After selecting "Upload to SFTP", you will see two alerts in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The first will be an alert that the report is being uploaded and the second will be a confirmation that the report has been uploaded, along with the name of the file.

Locating the Report in SFTP

After receiving the alert that the report has successfully uploaded, navigate to the SFTP server using the credentials provided by the ThoroughCare support team. You will see a folder titled "Patient Care Plans"; this is where you will be able to locate all of your care plan exports.

Open the folder and locate the file matching the file name from the above ThoroughCare alert. The file will be a zipped file containing all of the care plans for the patients selected in ThoroughCare. This zipped file can now be distributed easily to anyone in your practice who may need these reports!
