The ThoroughCare AI agent, powered by CareCo, can be used to initiate and transcribe calls, generate care plans, track time, and more. Many of these data points flow between the main ThoroughCare application and the AI agent. Details of what data points are integrated, as well as how the integration works, are detailed in this article.
How the Integration Works
The ThoroughCare AI agent uses ThoroughCare APIs to read and write data. When an integration is requested for your group, ThoroughCare generates credentials that allow the tool to read specific data points from ThoroughCare. Any data that is available in the ThoroughCare API can be retrieved by the AI agent; however, the agent does not yet use all the data available.
As soon as the AI agent is given access, an initial data sync is run. This sync will create accounts for users who have an email address in ThoroughCare; all accounts are created in a deactivated state by default. The customer administrator will be able to activate accounts for users who need access to the agent.
Single Sign-on
The option to single sign-on from ThoroughCare into the AI agent is a practice option that a ThoroughCare team member can enable. Before using the single sign-on functionality, users must have an account set up in the AI agent; otherwise, they will receive an error when trying to launch.
When enabled, the patient phone number in the demographics banner will become a hyperlink.
When selected, the AI agent will launch in a new tab with the patient in focus.
What data is integrated?
When the integration is set up, the following data is pulled out of the ThoroughCare application for the AI agent to use:

Patient demographics (including name, phone numbers, address, etc)

Problems
Medications
Allergies
Care Team
Care Plan Items (Goals, Barriers, and Interventions)

The ThoroughCare user data is used to create accounts in a deactivated state. Admins of the site can choose which users to activate. Doing so will send an email to the user prompting them to register their account.
This data will be used to create call guides, which will walk users through which topics to discuss with their patients. The call guide can be based on patient conditions, medications, vitals, or care plan items from ThoroughCare, or from previous calls transcribed in the AI agent.
