ThoroughCare allows users to easily record patient telephone information such as home, mobile, and work phone. Users are also able to select the patient's preferred contact number, if they have multiple listed. This article will show how this can be completed.
Navigate to the Patient Information Page
First, navigate to a patient's info page. You can do this by searching the patient's first name, last name, or EHR ID.Β
Once the search page loads select the correct patient by clicking the patient's name, EHR ID, or the "View" button located underneath the "Actions" column.
Next, select the "Edit Patient" button in the bottom right hand corner of the patient info page.
Immediately, an "Update Patient" pop-up should appear on the screen. Scroll down until the "Contact Information" is visible. Here, there are three patient telephone information text boxes that can be used to record their home, mobile, and work phone.
Enter a phone number that corresponds to one of the three sections. Then users may select the "Preferred Phone" by clicking on one of the three buttons as shown below.
If a user wishes to add instructions or a note, that has to do with the phone numbers provided, they may add this in the "Phone Notes" box.
When finished updating the patient's contact information make sure to click the "Update Patient" button.
