This article will show user's how to interact with and navigate a patient chart, as well as, how to modify patient details through the Patient Info Tab in ThoroughCare.

Getting to a Patient Chart:

Begin by typing the patient's first name, last name, or EHR ID into ThoroughCare's patient search bar.

Once the search page loads select the correct patient by clicking the patient's name, EHR ID, or the "View" button located underneath the "Actions" column.

Overview of a Patient Chart

Below is an example of a patient chart where all general patient information can be referenced.

First, take a look at the patient options at the top of the page. User's are able to transfer patients to other practices, select assessments they would like their patient's to complete, view interactions for each patient from the Calendar button, and modify the notification settings for each patient.

Note: If you would like to learn about the "Notifications" button click here. If you would like to learn about ThoroughCare's "Calendar" functionalities then click here.

The next notable section would be basic patient information, this is highlighted below. In this section, users will see:

  • Patient Full Name

  • DOB

  • Sex

  • Gender

  • Assigned Patient Flags (Click to choose patient flags)

  • Risk Level (Click to choose risk level)

  • Previous Name (If applicable)

  • Primary Care Manager

  • Primary Physician

  • Department

  • Last PCP Visit

  • EHR ID

  • Mobile Phone

  • Patient Chart Note (Click to begin typing)

This information can be collapsed if it does not need to be seen using the blue arrow button next to the patient's full name.

Patient Info Tab

If a user wishes to edit patient information, click the blue "Edit Patient" in the bottom right corner.

Once clicked a pop-up will appear. Add, delete, or edit any patient information that needs to be changed.

Whenever the user has finished updating the patient information, click the "Update Patient" button at the bottom of the pop-up.

If the information is updated successfully, ThoroughCare will give the user a confirmation message that their patient update was successful. Notice the change in information within the top level patient information and the information under the "Patient Info" tab.
