Configuring Care Plan Report Templates
Access the side-menu within ThoroughCare and click on the Management option. Once expanded, find and click on ‘CP Report Templates.’
Navigate to the top-right corner under the username and click on the ‘+ Add New Care Plan Template’ button.
The Care Plan Report Template modal will then be displayed, and a user may first enter a name for their custom template in the appropriate field.
NOTE: Custom templates can’t be saved unless a name is entered. Users will get a notification within the modal should they try to save without naming.
If a user wishes, they may add a ‘Report Disclaimer’ by clicking the respective checkbox and entering their disclaimer within the text field below.
The ordering of the sections within a Care Plan Report may be changed as visualized by the blue arrows next to each section.
Click on an up or down arrow in a section OR hold to drag a section into a user’s preferred position.
Finally, each section of a Care Plan Report may be disabled so that it does not populate within a patient Care Plan Report when using the correct template.
Click on the ‘Disable’ button to stop a section from appearing on a Care Plan Report. Tap again when the button changes to ‘Enable’ to have the section appear on a Care Plan Report.
When ready, scroll down to the bottom of the modal and click ‘Create’ to save your custom template for future use.
A user will receive a notification if the custom template was saved correctly.
Before trying to use a custom template within a patient chart, please note that the following options are available for each custom Care Plan Report template: Disable/Enable, Edit, and Preview.
Clicking on the ‘Disable’ button will stop the custom template from appearing when trying to print or preview a Care Plan Report from a patient chart.
Click the button again to enable the custom template.
Clicking on the ‘Edit’ button will allow a user to access the custom template and make changes to the name, disclaimer, ordering, and whether sections should show or not.
The ‘Preview’ button when clicked will generate a preview of the Care Plan Report template so that a user may visually confirm their choices and the appearance of the template when in use.
Utilizing Custom Templates
To use a created Care Plan Report template, navigate to a patient’s chart and find the ‘Print/Preview’ button under the Care Management tab.
Clicking the button will bring up the ‘Select Report Details’ modal. Find and click the dropdown field labeled ‘Custom.’
Select the Care Plan Report template that you would like to use. All enabled templates will be shown in the dropdown.
NOTE: Enabled Care Plan Report templates will be seen in the Select Report Details modal’s dropdown in the order they appear in the ‘Care Plan Configurations’ screen under the Management options.
When ready, click the ‘Open Preview’ or ‘Download PDF’ buttons to load patient data with the Care Plan Report template and view the report.
