ThoroughCare / Application Release Notes - October 14, 2025

Feature of the Month

Patient Flags via the API*

ThoroughCare now supports the ability for our users to obtain a list of Patient Flags associated with their practice via the new GET Flag endpoint in our API. Using this list in conjunction with our newly updated POST or PATCH Patient endpoint will allow our users to add and edit Patient Flags that are associated with their patient.

To support these actions, a new extension has been added to the Patient endpoints that references the new Flag resource. Please note that the old “Flags” extension will be deprecated in the near future.

Benefits

Automated Workflow: Reduces manual effort in removing and adding Patient Flags to many patients at once, as well as getting a list of all Patient Flags in a practice.

Enhanced Interoperability: Allows Patient Flags to be easily updated based on the rest of the information available via our API.

Announcements

We are updating the condition "Cervical Degeneration" to "Cervical Spine Degeneration" for greater precision and to better align with standard medical terminology.

New Features

Delete Devices via the API

This feature allows our users to programmatically delete devices linked to patients via our API. This makes keeping your active device list clean much easier, as navigating to each device to delete it manually is no longer required.

Benefits:

  • Automated Workflow: Reduces manual effort in removing patient devices from many patients at once

* Enhancement was created based on a user idea
